Bishop Jonah Obonyo

Bishop Jonah Obonyo is a biset of both Rift  Nakuru County , Nairobi County , and Siaya County. He did his formal education in the Rift Valley Province (Now Nakuru County) where he was also raised. He also did accounts, studied in Kabette Technical Training Institute in Nairobi.

He holds a Bachelor Degree in Biblical studies from Kairos University based in Fort Myers , Florida ,USA. He is also a Certified Professional and Qualified Mediator Bishop Jonah Obonyo is married to one lady Florence Obonyo and they are blessed with three children namely Janet, Luke ( late) and Benjamin.

After receiving Jesus Christ as his savior, he was nourished under strong leadership of the Arch Bishop Dr Athur Kitonga of Redeemed Gospel Church where he captured a true servant leadership spirit. He later received the call of God in his life and appointed a Pastor in 1990. He would later be ordained as a Reverend in 1995.

He later became the senior pastor of Redeemed Gospel Church – City Victory Temple which saw the church grow from one hundred and fifty to 12,000 members companied with a strong television ministry ( Victory Hour) for seven years ​ He was later blessed and released  to start Cathedral of Praise Ministries International where he is currently the founder and senior Pastor with his it’s headquarter in Imara Daima– Mombasa Road and branches cutting across the country and across the borders  in Uganda , Rwanda and Tanzania.

He provides spiritual guidance and leadership to many sons and daughters both in Cathedral of Praise and other ministries cutting across the Nation and beyond

Bishop Obonyo is also a writer of books which enriches the believers on various subjects e.g.

Bishop is an anointed revelational preacher who ministers across the divide of people of all walks of life from high profile to the low in society. He is an anointed motivational speaker and a servant leader, Visionary conference Speaker, Counsellor and Inspiration to anyone he meets. He has a zeal and passion for winning souls for Jesus Christ, empowering, raising, equipping and eagle minded believers

He is currently the African Presiding Pilate of the Eagles Rock Communion of Christian Leaders based in USA under the leadership of His Eminence The Bishop Eugene Reeves and Ollie Reeves.

He is also the vice chairman of the Evangelical Alliance of Kenya Nairobi
